Retriever Rescue

Welcome to the website of
Retriever Rescue Fajtamentő Egyesület

Our aim:
Our small, but enthusiastic team aims to find new homes for sheltered dogs. Our other aim is to find the lost ones and take them back to their homes. You must have heard scary stories about lost, abandoned and tortured dogs. Unfortunately some of these things do happen to retrievers too and in this case we need patience, steadiness, a lot of time and half a fortune to see happy, smiling dog-eyes again. Fortunately we have not so complicated cases as well, but every single dog is a new story and an individual personality. Now you may be asking yourself how we manage to rescue and why we keep on working at all. You can easily understand it if you take a look at the following photo.

We do it for this:
Misu and the new owner's daughter.
(Male golden retriever, found in Budapest)
